The C.R.E.S.T

The C.R.E.S.T is a new initiative which aims to protect the rare and wonderful coastal birds that live along the Southern Manukau Harbour.

The project area covers Clarks Beach, Elletts Beach, Seagrove and the stunning Taihiki waterway. The main focus of the project is reducing the numbers of introduced predators to allow coastal bird populations to flourish and protect the waterways of the Manukau and all who call it home.

Auckland Council are currently supporting local residents to carry out pest animal control on their own properties and controlling weeds along the coastline. Please get in touch if you would like to be part of this project!
