Spencerville Predator Control Group

A predator control programme in the Spencerville/Brooklands area.

This is a combined project between the local community and the Christchurch City Council Spencer Park rangers.

The Brooklands Lagoon area is a Site of Ecological Significance.

It is an originally rare ecosystem that contains indigenous vegetation communities and is of local, national and international importance in terms of it supporting a representative assemblage of indigenous and migratory birdlife, including 20 threatened, at-risk or uncommon species.
