Dotterel Band

A small dedicated team of neighbours of the Mahaka Katia Reserve, trying to help the banded dotterels nest successfully on the alluvial terraces within the reserve . We work alongside the DOC team within the reserve. Traps along the lakeside have been funded by Winstone Aggregates.
