Friends of East Mohua (FOEM)

Coastal forest filled with birds, streams and wetlands supporting diverse fish species, an ocean teeming with life: this is the vision of the Friends of East Mohua.

FOEM is a part of Project Mohua, and is a group of ambitious locals collaborating to make this vision a reality -  you can be part of the vision as well. Many people have already been busy in the background- raising funds, planting trees, removing weeds, track building  and trapping. The catchment area for FOEM is from Motupipi to Wainui Bay. If you want to be part of the movement to enhance the mauri or life force  of the region, then FOEM is the group for you.
