Predator Free Kainga
A newly formed group focussed on predator control and native planting initiatives along the southern stopbanks of the Waimakariri River - from Bridgend to Brooklands. Targeting possums, rats and mustelids our goal is to return native species to our backyards and support the efforts of adjoining predator control groups around the ecologically significant Brooklands Lagoon and Styx River catchment. The community is situated between Brooklands Lagoon to the East, Waimakariri River to the North and Kainga Drain (a tributary of the Styx River) to the South.
