Otahuna Reserve Animal Pest Project

Otahuna reserve is located on the southern Port Hills and managed by the Christchurch City Council. In early 2019 the decision was made to introduce a full scale animal pest management project in the reserve to support the native biodiversity. The reserve is approximately 120ha and is gridded with a 200m x 100m network of AT220 traps as the primary control tool and supported by a 100m x 50m network of 200g sentry bait stations for toxin application.
