Mangaonua - Kirikiriroa/Hamilton
The project encompasses the entirety of the Mangaonua Gully system to the extent which it falls within Kirikiriroa Hamilton City boundaries. The intention of the project is to create a predator control network within the community that extends from the parts of Mangaonua Gully closest to the river and Hammond Park which is a principle pekapeka (long-tailed bat) habitat. Mangaonua Gully extends outside of the city boundaries and therefore is a principal entry point for predators into the city from outside its boundaries. Anyone is welcome to be a part of the program, and can contact the organiser by email.
